Artist: Dario Zenker Title: Belfort Label: Vakant Germany Released: 25.01.2010 Genre: Techno Release Description:
Vakant continues its VALT series with the third installment of uncompromising club tracks. Started in 2008 with Onur Özer and followed up by Tolga Fidan in 2009, Dario Zenker brings up VALT3 in 2010. Vakant’s representation in the decent south of Germany locates ‘Belfort’ as close to Detroit as it’s indefinite in time. Was it written by little Dario in the 90’s? Or maybe on a US tour in Detroit itself with some helping hands? We don’t know, but surely have a timeless piece of music here.
Artist: Adverb Title: Dub protocol Label: Etoka Shapes Released: 25.01.2010 Genre: Dub Techno Release Description:
The 2nd chapter of this ambitious new label has began. Adverb’s first release on etoka:shapes comes around with three tracks and each of them could be described as absolutely deep, minimalstic and dubby.
With warm, at “Manipulate” even dark chords and reduced beats Adverb creates a wonderful atmosphere that kinda surrounds you.
Artist: Ivan Iacobucci Title: Ritual Label: NiteGrooves US Released: 25.01.2010 Genre: Progressive, Deep Release Description:
One of Italy’s crown jewel producers and master of deep House percussion Ivan Iacobucci is back on Nite Grooves after a bit of a hiatus. His latest instrumental effort “Ritual,” with 3 separate versions, is a straight up rolling deep and lightly hypnotic affair worthy of most urban drum circles. Congas, maracas, minimal synth jabs and intermittent chanting are sure to conjure up some lively spirits channeling them to the dancefloor. Definitely intended for those who enjoy music played by Louie Vega and Roots and Dance Ritual as well as at Timmy Regisford’s Shelter and beyond.
Artist: Atnarko, Nica Brooke Title: Solid Ground Label: Lazy Days Music Released: 25.01.2010 Genre: Progressive, Deep Release Description:
Unsung Hero of US Deep House, Atnarko comes correct with what we think is his best work yet. Hooking up with singer Nica Brooke (Rhitma, Ryrallio Djs, Inland Knights), he delivers here a pure classic. Nacho Marco (Loudeast, Freerange,Om) from Spain provides 2 killer remixes showcasing his tight production. A dancefloor delight!

Our attitude to electronic music:
'' We actually care about the music... Some people, I do think, promote themselves more then they actually make quality tunes...
We are just trying to keep it real... ''
